Pay Commission recommendation

As per the Sixth Pay Commission recommendation, the minimum-maximum salary ratio is said to be 1:12. This is not correct. Lower-level employees get almost no perks while higher-level officials have many perquisites, the value of which could be almost 50 per cent of the gross salary. The minimum-maximum ratio should not be higher than 1:10.
