Hyderabad, March 27 IT solutions provider Satyam Computer on Thursday announced the establishment of a Pega Business Process Management Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the company’s 2,000-seat Global Solutions Centre (GSC) at Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Satyam teamed with US-based business software maker Pegasystems Inc to create the facility to help enterprises with consultancy and business productivity suite.

This CoE will develop frameworks and methodologies to implement business process management (BPM) solutions.

These solutions are aimed at faster and flexible options that will facilitate development, testing, implementation and maintenance.

The Senior Vice-President of Satyam’s Consulting and Enterprise Solutions Practice, Mr Sriram Krishnan, in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange said “Pega continues to drive the BPM market with its robust products and innovative ability to bring competitive advantage to its customers.”

This partnership provides consulting and implementation services for insurance, healthcare, banking and financial services customers. These services extend to compliance solutions for fraud detection, anti-money laundering and Sarbanes-Oxley. About 500 consultants will work on BPM solutions.

The Satyam’s regional head, Mr Virender Aggarwal, said, “Satyam has leveraged Malaysia’s infrastructure and now have 500 associates, two-thirds of whom are Malaysians. The rapid strengthening of our Malaysian operations has bolstered our international expansion.” Mr Aggarwal added, “We plan to make Malaysia our largest software development hub outside of India over the next few years.”
