Surana venture orders solar units

Hyderabad, March 27

Surana Telecom Ltd, today announced that the company’s new joint venture firm, Surana Ventures Ltd, foraying into solar power, has placed orders for the supply of 19 MW solar photovoltaic production line each on Eco Progetti of Italy and P Energy SRL of Italy for the 38 MW solar photovoltaic module project. In a statement to the BSE, the company said Fab City SPV (India) Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC), has ma de an allotment of 25 acres on lease in the Fab City, Hyderabad, to the joint venture company. The company will be allotted 10 acres initially and has reserved 15 acres for future use. The joint venture has made the payment of lease premium and is awaiting the possession of land. Surana Ventures is jointly promoted by Surana Telecom and Bhagyanagar India Ltd for setting up the solar photovoltaic cell and module project.
