SB Global steps up education, training avenues

Growth in aviation, tourism

Our Bureau

Kochi, March 30 India’s recent enviable growth in the aviation and tourism sectors has opened up tremendous job opportunities for skilled personnel in airports, airline offices, hospitality and the travel and tourism spheres, within and outside the country, for both ticketing and related functions as well as air cargo operations.

Developing trend

Keeping this developing trend in view, the Kochi-based SB Global Educational Resources Pvt Ltd, a career oriented educational institution, has stepped up its education and training avenues in a big way — both in the number of career enrichment training centres and in the off-take of students for various disciplines, said Mr R. Balachandran, Managing Director, SB Global.

Already having centres at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Thrissur and Thaliparamba, apart from its corporate office in Kochi, SB Global has opened yet another career enrichment centre in Kannur.

Mr Balachandran said that the new centre has greater significance in the context of the Centre’s recent approval for construction of Kannur airport, which is expected to become operational in two years, as per present indications.

Guaranteed placement

He said that SB Global is an authorised training partner for the 100-hour RAI (Retailers Association of India) course and guarantees 100 per cent placement. Every student so far has been placed, even before the completion of the course, in major retail networks both within and outside the State, he said.

Besides the course on retailing skills, SB Global has been conducting courses mainly for the service industry, in Hotel Management, Airline, Travel and Tourism and IT apart from the value additions of communication skills and other soft skills.
