People Thomas Cook board inducts four new directors Our Bureau Mumbai, March 30 Thomas Cook (India) Ltd (TCIL) informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Sunday that the company reconstituted its board of directors with the induction of four new Directors. Mr Manny Fontenla-Novoa has been appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Cook Group plc, UK, and Dr Jürgen Büser, Chief Financial Officer; Mr Michael Hallisey, Executive Director (Legal); Mr Roland Zeh, Director, Finance Integration of Thomas Cook UK Ltd. All of them join as directors with effect from March 31. They will replace the outgoing directors representing Dubai Financial Group — Mr Sayanta Basu, Ms Jacqueline Asher and Mr Abdul Hakeem Kamkar. Mr Mahendra Doshi, Independent Non-Executive Director of TCIL, also stepped down from the board. The notice said that Mr Udayan Bose would continue as Chairman and Mr Madhavan Menon as Managing Director. Reconstitution rulesUpon the acquisition of TCIL by Thomas Cook UK, in accordance and in compliance with regulation 22(7) of the SEBI takeover regulations, the acquirer has reconstituted the board on March 30, it being 21 days after the date of the public announcement.
