SAIL donates mobile medical unit

Kolkata, March 31

The Union External Affairs Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, has dedicated to the people of Jangipur hospital equipment and a mobile medical unit donated by SAIL. He has also inaugurated a SAIL tubewell project at Mondalsar village in Khargram block in Murshidabad. The project envisages erection of 80 hand-pumps at Khargram block and another 20 at Jangipur to alleviate the problem of non-availability of potable water faced by villagers. The total cost of the two projects unde rtaken is about Rs 60 lakh.
