Outlook States - Andhra Pradesh Sabols Foods plans to invest Rs 25 cr in production facilities Our Bureau Hyderabad, April 1 Eyeing a bigger pie in the Rs 2,000-crore packaged water market in the country, Sabols Foods India Pvt Ltd, the Coimbatore-based company, has decided to invest Rs 25 crore in the next two years to set up production facilities in States such as Karnataka, Kerala Maharashtra and Goa. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Senthil K.M., Chairman of Sabols, said the company would seek funds from the banks and financial institutions to pool up resources for the expansion plan. The company claimed that it had a share of 25 per cent in the Tamil Nadu market, considered to be the biggest for packaged drinking water. Expansion planThe expansion plan also included foraying into juices segment. To begin with, it would launch Mango Magic this month. “We will also come out with noodles, biscuits, chocolates and pickles,” he said. In Andhra Pradesh, the company would take the franchise route for its bottling needs. “We will rope in players in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Nellore,” he said.
