Hyderabad, April 1 Geospatial and engineering services provider Avineon Inc on Tuesday announced plans to expand its Indian operations at Hyderabad, while adding a new centre in Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh.

The company plans to add about 600 people during the current year and possibly invest about $5 million in the Hyderabad facility.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Avineon, Mr Karlu Rambala, said that the company has secured a multi-million dollar deal from a telecom company, to be executed over the next two years and expects to deploy about 300 people on this project alone between Hyderabad and Kakinada facilities.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rambala said that the company, closely held and self-funded, now has revenues of $45 million. It was growing at 30-35 per cent a year over the last four years.
