Our Bureau

Hyderabad, April 4 The Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Communication at the University of Hyderabad has lined up new courses to be offered from July in the fields of communication, theatre and dance.

The Department of Communication would offer M.A. in communication programme with four distinct streams of specialisation, print and new media, radio and television production, advertising and public relations and communication studies. The annul intake of the students had been doubled from 20 to 40.

With the soon-to-be set up campus radio station, a new media lab and largely diversified faculty from across the industry, the course was being launched in a big way by the 20-year-old school of performing arts, according to a release.

The Department of Dance, which is offering Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam as part of the Masters in Performing Arts at present, would be adding two additional streams of contemporary dance and folk dance forms, the release said.
