ACC cement sales in March up 4.9%

Mumbai, April 5

ACC Ltd cement sales in March increased 4.91 per cent to 1.92 million tonnes (mt) against 1.83 mt in the same period last year, the company said on Friday. The production rose 5.59 per cent to 1.89 mt (1.83 mt). For the first quarter of the calendar year, the company sales recorded a rise of 7.08 per cent to 5.29 mt (4.94 mt). The production in the same period saw jump of 6.50 per cent to 5.24 mt (4.92 mt). On a sequential basis, the sales were marked up 13.61 per cent and dispatches rose 11.83 per cent. —
