Poultry trade meeting in Namakkal today

Our Bureau

Coimbatore, April 7 A meeting of poultry farmers and cull-bird trade being convened at the poultry town of Namakkal tomorrow will discuss the issue of improving price for the cull-birds.

The meeting is expected to discuss ways and means to perk up the cull-bird price in the region from the current level of Rs 15 per kg to the levels that prevailed in the Andhra Pradesh (Chittoor).

The Chittoor price is quoted at Rs 21 per kg and the poultry farmers in Namakkal expect that the farm-gate price for their cullbird should be lifted upto the Andhra price levels.
