Our Bureau Hyderabad, April 7 Dabur India Ltd’s retail subsidiary, H&B Stores Ltd, has announced the launch of two of it ‘newu’ brand stores at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. The beauty, health and wellness retail stores will sell international and domestic beauty and health products. While one ‘newu’ outlet will operate out of a kiosk in the check-in departure area, the second is located in the Village Shopping Area in the passenger arrivals greeting area, a company press release said. Dabur Retail, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dabur India, launched its first store in Delhi on March 13, 2008. The opening of the outlets in RGIA in Hyderabad, and the upcoming two stores in Bangalore, mark a major foray into South India, a company spokesperson told Business Line. A typical ‘newu’ (which means discovering the New You) store would be 1,600-2,000 sq ft. It would sell about 5 per cent of Dabur products and rest of the brands from across the world. Plans are to expand in Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR), Ludhiana and Punjab in the next six months, he said. These outlets would also offer snacks, drinks and last-minute daily essentials including flowers and gift items, ‘newu’ Chief Executive Officer Mr Peter Baker, said in the release.
