New Delhi, April 8

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has said it will be setting up a centre for business of climate change. The centre will focus entirely on environmental issues and their linkages to businesses. “Climate change is affecting lives in multiple ways and businesses are thought to be the worst culprits. There is increasing pressure from society on businesses to become environment friendly. This centre is an important milestone in IIML’s journey and shows o ur commitment to introducing management practices that address the ecosystems in which businesses function,” said Dr Devi Singh, Director IIM, Lucknow. The proposed centre aims to undertake studies and research in the areas of climate change vis-À-vis businesses.
