Bajaj de-merger process completed

Pune, April 9 The process of de-merger of Bajaj Auto Ltd has been completed, and existing shareholders of the company on the record date of March 25 have been allotted an equal number of shares in the three de-merged entities namely Bajaj Holdings and Investments Ltd, Bajaj Auto Ltd and Bajaj Finserv.

This follows the go-ahead by the board, which met on April 3.

According to an official in the company, shares of the new companies have been credited through the depositories, and have also been despatched as certificates in cases where the original holdings are in the physical form.

On April 11, the company will file necessary financial documents with the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange to apply for the listing of the shares of (new) Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finserv. The listing is expected to happen by the end of the month.
