Chandrajit Banerjee to be DG CII

New Delhi, April 11

Mr Chandrajit Banerjee, currently Deputy Director General, has been chosen to be the next Director General of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), effective May 2008. CII assessed both external and internal candidates and decided on Mr Banerjee. Mr Banerjee has served CII in various locations as the Head of State and regional offices of CII such as Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Mumbai and Bangalore. - Our Bureau
