Dhaka-Kolkata Moitree Express to begin service from Monday

A Bangladeshi couple booking tickets for travel in the Maitree Express, the first international bi-weekly train between India and Bangladesh, at the foreign tourist passenger counter in Kolkata on Friday. The tickets for the cross-country train journey will be available 10 days in advance excluding the day of journey. The bookings will close at 3.p.m. on the previous day of the departure of the train. Fare for journey by AC First Class (cabin) is US $20, AC Chair Car $12 and Second Class non-AC Chair Car is $8 without any other charges like reservation fee, superfast surcharge etc. Children up to the age of 5 years will be charged at 50 per cent of the fare. There is no provision for return journey tickets.
