Telecommunications Shyam Telelink gets additional spectrum for 9 circles Our Bureau New Delhi, April 11 Shyam Telelink Ltd has been allotted start-up spectrum in nine circles by the Department of Telecom. Confirming this development, a company spokesperson said that the spectrum was for offering services based on code division multiple access (CDMA) technology. The circles are Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh(East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana. Currently, the company operates only in one circle i.e Rajasthan. It had earlier got start-up spectrum for CDMA services in Assam, six states of North-East and Jammu & Kashmir. Total circlesWith the latest allotment, the total number of circles in which the company has been allotted start-up CDMA spectrum has gone up to 13 circles. More Stories on : Telecommunications
