Chinni’s pickles get a clean chit

Our Bureau

Kochi, April 13 FMCG major CavinKare shared the analysis report on Chinni’s lime and mango pickles issued by The District Food Inspector and Local Health Authority, Ernakulam, which was found not adulterated.

Mr Ramesh Vishwanathan, Executive Director, CavinKare, told reporters here that the report certified that Chinni’s pickle complied with PFA norms and the fact that it was not found adulterated is a testimony to the quality of the product. His reaction comes in the wake of recent reports casting aspersions on the quality of Chinni’s pickles.

He pointed out that Chinni’s pickles are made with due FPO license, in compliance with strict PFA standards and in a HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) certified unit. CavinKare applies stringent quality standards for procurement of raw materials from approved vendors and the finished goods are subjected to analysis by food technologies in the unit.

The company has a dedicated R&D laboratory manned by senior scientists.
