Our Bureau Hyderabad, April 14 Satyam Computer Services on Monday announced that it will set up a new campus at the Geelong Technology Precint, Victoria in Australia. The new 25-acre campus will accommodate 2,000 employees over the next few years. Mr B. Rama Raju, Satyam’s co-founder and Managing Director, officially opened the new facility at a ceremony, with Premier John Brumby. In a press release the Hyderabad-based IT major said the Geelong campus will house a software development centre and facilities for training, research and development etc. “Satyam is well-established in Australia and today’s announcement reinforces our ongoing commitment to the local ICT market,” Mr Rama Raju said. Geelong was selected as the location for its highly skilled ICT talent, infrastructure and transport links to Melbourne. The support of the Victorian Government, the Geelong City Council and the collaboration activities with Deakin University directly influenced our decision,” the release said.
