Hyderabad, April 16

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) will start collecting user development fee of Rs 1,000 from outbound international passengers beginning April 23, a month after the airport began commercial operations.

In a statement, the airport said the charge would be collected at the time of purchase of tickets by the airlines or travel agents.

In case of advance purchases of tickets that didn’t include the UDF, the fee would be collected at airport before the issuance of boarding pass.

The operator originally planned to collect the UDF five days after the commencement of the airport. But it had deferred the plan for a while.
