Security States - Andhra Pradesh Ship-handling simulator installed Visakhapatnam, April 16 A ship-handling simulator was inaugurated at the maritime welfare centre in the Eastern Naval Command here on Wednesday by Vice-Admiral Raman Prem Suthan, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief. According to a press release issued by the ENC, the simulator will be used to train naval officers in the complex procedures of entering and leaving different harbours in the country. Major harbours and different types of ships currently deployed with the Navy have been replicated in the simulator. The release adds that it is a modern equipment indigenously developed and installed by Applied Research International of New Delhi.
