New Products & Services States - Andhra Pradesh Orange Radio Cabs launched in Hyderabad Our Bureau Hyderabad, April 18 Yet another radio taxi service – Orange Radio Cabs – was launched here formally by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy. The Hyderabad-based Orange Radio Cabs offers a fleet of 100 brand new cars of the makes of Versa, Innova and Indigo Marina. Rules stipulate that radio cabs licence is issued only if the operator owns a minimum of 100 motor cabs. GPRS-enabled cabsThese are the GPRS-enabled ‘Radio Cabs’. Unlike the regular taxi cabs, radio cabs are installed with alarm signals and special radio equipment to provide enough security to commuters. Orange Radio Cabs is the third agency to become operational in the city. Giving details, Mr M. Sunil Kumar, Managing Partner - Thirumala Cabs, said it has been in the corporate car rental business for the past eight years, providing service to software and telecom companies.
