Deccan promoters declassified

Bangalore, April 19

With the UB Group taking over Deccan Aviation, Capt G.R. Gopinath, Capt K.J. Samuel and Mr Vishnu Singh Rawal, who together launched the low-cost airline, have ceased to be the promoters of the company. Deccan Aviation informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the board of directors meeting held on April 17, has considered the letters received from Capt Gopinath, Capt Samuel and Mr Rawal requesting to be declassified from the promoter/promoter group category of the company. —
