20 tourist circuits being developed

New Delhi, April 21

The Ministry of Tourism is working on developing 20 destinations and circuits that will offer tourists a unique experience and will take up development of another 20 such sites after the initial 20 become operational, the Union Minister for Tourism, Mr Ambika Soni, said on Monday. Addressing the Great Indian Travel Bazaar 2008, the Minister said that the aim of the Government is to have a visa-free regime. “We are pursuing the matter with the Union Home Ministry and the External Affairs Ministry to make this happen,” Ms Soni said.
