Our Bureau

New Delhi, April 22 A five-day international b2b exposition of machine tools ‘Modern Machine Shop 2008’ will be held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi from April 25.

Organised by the Indian Machine Tools Manufacturing Association, the exposition will have 111 participants, including 24 foreign companies. Companies from Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, Germany and the UK will be participating in the exposition, the association President, Mr N.K. Dhand, told reporters here on Tuesday.

He said that the domestic machine tools industry has witnessed a compounded annual growth rate of 25-30 per cent over the last few years because of the growth in the manufacturing sector.

The association is also planning to set up three machine tools parks in the country through the PPP route.
