Events Experts call for efficient use of knowledge base Our Bureau New Delhi, April 23 The status of an organisation in competitive situations depends on the how effectively it can utilise the available knowledge base. Indian business houses should develop business strategies suitable to the prevailing requirement in the face of competitions, said experts. At a two-day national conference on ‘Information Technology and Competitive Dynamics’ organised by Institute of Management Education, Prof. K. K. Aggarwal, Vice-Chancellor GGSIP University, Delhi said, “The role of business strategy in enhancing the competitive advantage of an organisation could not be undermined. “Many Indian business houses could not sustain in this age of competition because they could not adopt business strategy suitable to prevailing requirements”. In his address, Prof Prem Vrat, Vice-Chancellor UP Technical University, said IT has brought a revolution in the management of knowledge and information. “Companies should use its knowledge base effectively,” he said. The conference was attended by intellectuals and academicians besides leading management institutes like the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
