Grand Slam Fitness outlet opens in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, April 23 New Delhi-based fitness equipment chain, Grand Slam Fitness Pvt Ltd, is planning to set up it franchisee stores in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada soon.

“Fitness consciousness is on the rise in the southern states of late and we wish to tap the market here,” Mr Raman Sood, Managing Director, Grand Slam Fitness, told newspersons on Wednesday after inaugurating its 55th outlet in the country here, in association with city-based Regal Fitness.

The company, which had a turnover of Rs 25 crore in the last financial year, was hoping to double its turnover by the year end.

“We will be opening 45 new stores across the country over next two years,” he said.

Target business

Mr Rajeev Dhupur, Managing Director of Regal Fitness, said the target for the new Grand Slam outlet was over Rs one crore business in the first year.

Renowned international brands such as Sports Art, Kettler (Germany), California Fitness, Body Solid (US) were available in the stores, he said.
