Tea Mixed trend at Kochi tea auction Our Bureau Kochi, April 25 While there was no significant change in the quantity on offer at the dust tea auction, there was a marked fall in the volumes on offer at the Kochi leaf tea auction. In the dust segment, market for CTCs opened at an easier note, particularly for finer grades. Bolder grades were steady to dearer by Re1-Rs 2 in the beginning but appreciated to Rs 6 towards close of auction. Orthodox dust high grown varieties remained steady, while mediums appreciated by Re 1-Rs 2. Best CTC varieties quoted Rs 63-75, medium CTC was at Rs 58-62 and below medium ranged at Rs 50-54. High grown BOPD fetched Rs 95-109, medium BOPD quoted Rs 50-52 and secondaries were at Rs 43-49. Leaf SaleBest Nilgiri varieties fetched Rs 75-87, medium orthodox was at Rs 65-78, plain orthodox quoted Rs 50-58. Best CTC leaf fetched Rs 57-61 while medium CTC leaf ranged at Rs 48-55.
