Climate & Weather States - Tamil Nadu Automatic weather stations Tiruchi, April 25 Five automatic weather stations, out of the 224 planned in the State through the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Tamil Nadu, would be established in Tiruchi district soon. While speaking at a farmers grievance day meeting here on Friday, the Joint Director of Agriculture, Mr N. Ponnuswamy, said the stations would provide meteorological information and bulletins to farmers of the district so as to help them plan their farming operations better. The AWS would come up a t the Marungapuri-Vaiyampatti, Thathiyengarpet-Thottiyam, Musiri-Manachanallur-Thuraiyur, Sirugamni-Pullampadi and Tiruverambur-Poigaikudi regions. The AWS would be initially linked to the Tamil Nadu State Wide Area Network.
