Prahlad on Pearson board

Chennai, April 26

Internationally renowned management guru and best-selling author Mr C.K. Prahalad, has been appointed to the board of Pearson, the world’s largest education services company. According to an official statement, Mr Prahalad has been appointed as a non-Executive Director on the board of Pearson. His appointment will be effective May 1. He joins Pearson as the company redefines its focus on India, with the ambition to emerge as a leading education services company, the statement said. He is the Paul and Ruth McCracken Distinguished University Professor of Corporate Strategy at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and is regarded as one of the foremost strategy thinkers in the world. Among the books he has authored are Competing for the Future (co-authored with Gary Hamel), The Future of Competition (co-authored with Venkat Ramaswamy) and The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid.
