TNAU pact with Canada college

Coimbatore, April 27

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will have a dual degree programme on `environmental horticulture' for which it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nova Scotia Agricultural College, Canada. The dual degree programme will be unique in creating employment opportunities in the context of changing agricultural production systems and shift in global climatic changes, said a TNAU communication. To qualify for the degree, the students would have to complete five semesters from the TNAU and the remaining three in NSAC. The MoU was signed by Mr Brian Crouse, Manager, student recruitment and awards, NSAC, and Dr M. Thangaraju, Director of Students Welfare, TNAU. - Our Bureau
