Industry Associations States - Tamil Nadu TN chamber submits memorandum Madurai, April 28 A delegation from the Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its Presient Mr S. Rethinavelu, met on Saturday and submitted a memorandum each to the Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Mr Praful Patel, and the Union Shipping Surface Transport Minister, Mr T.R. Baalu, during their visit to the city in connection with the laying of foundation stones of two IT parks and a new terminal at the Madurai airport. In the memo randum submitted to the Chief Minister, the Chamber has pleaded for a permanent trade fair complex and setting up of an Aviation University at Madurai. From the Civil Aviation Minister, the chamber has sought the extension of runway at Madurai airport and the introduction of international flights from the city, among other things. And from the Minister for Shipping and Surface Transport the chamber sought the early completion of the Sethu Samudhram project and early facilitation and completion of all the four-lane highway projects in southern Tamil Nadu. – Our Correspondent More Stories on : Industry Associations | Tamil Nadu
