Nagarjuna Fert Q4 net down 32%

Hyderabad, April 29

Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (NFCL) has reported a 32.79 per cent dip in its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008. The net profit was Rs 1.25 crore against Rs 1.86 crore recorded in the corresponding previous quarter. Its net sales, however, were up 40.23 per cent at Rs 589.03 crore against Rs 420.03 crore. For the financial year ended March 31, 2008, the net profit was down 29.07 per cent at Rs 22.49 crore against Rs 31.71 crore recorded for the financial year ended March 31, 2007. Net sales for the period were up 20.84 per cent at Rs 2,193.59 crore against Rs 1,815.24 crore. The company’s scrip on Tuesday was down 1.8 per cent at Rs 51.85 on the BSE. —
