J.G. Hosiery on expansion mode

Bangalore, April 29

J.G. Hosiery, a player in the innerwear market with its Amul Innerwear brand, is on an expansion drive. It plans to enter the premium range of the kids and women's inner wear market. It also seeks to increase production capacity from 3.5 lakh units per day to 5 lakh units this year, said Mr Navin Seksaria, Director.

The company's turnover touched Rs 201 crore in 2007-08. For fiscal year 2008-09, the company has a target of Rs 300 crore. J.G. Hosiery, which has production facilities in Tirupur, Kolkata and Bangalore, plans to set up two more units, in Hyderabad and Kochi, in three months. It also hopes to ramp up its distribution network. - Our Bureau
