JK Tyre Q2 net jumps 67%

New Delhi, April 30 Led by increased sales, cost cutting measures and stable prices, JK Tyre and Industries Ltd posted a 67 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 23 crore for the second quarter ended March 31, 2008, up from Rs 13.7 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The company’s net sales rose 11.12 per cent at Rs 829.9 crore compared with Rs 746.8 crore in the corresponding period last year.
