Vishal Retail net increases 62%
New Delhi, April 30
Vishal Retail Ltd has posted a 62 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 40.6 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008, against Rs 25.07 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. The net sales for the period rose 67 per cent to Rs 100.5 crore against Rs 60.26 crore for the corresponding period last year. For the January-March quarter, the net profit stood at Rs 10.4 crore on net sales of Rs 31.8 crore. The company did not provide year-ago figures as it was not liste
d on the stock exchanges at that time. Vishal currently has 108 stores with a total space of over 2.29 million sq. ft, plans to take its stores to 500 with 10 million sq. ft retail space by 2011.
