Outlook Corporate Results - Paper, Board & Newsprint BILT may hike coated paper price by Rs 2,000/tonne
Our Bureau New Delhi, April 30 Paper manufacturer Ballarpur Industries Ltd (BILT) has said it is mulling to increase the price of coated paper by at least Rs 2,000 a tonne. “It can be of the order of Rs 2,000 a tonne. We will take a decision in two to three days’ time,” Mr R.R. Vederah, Managing Director, BILT, told newspersons here on Wednesday. The company has posted a 14.81 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 74.5 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2008, against Rs 64.9 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. BILT follows a July 1 to June 30 fiscal year. The total revenue rose to Rs 735 crore for the quarter ( Rs 605 crore). For the nine months ending March 31, the company announced a net profit of Rs 221.70, a 18.86 per cent growth over the year-ago period. For the corresponding period the previous year, the company had a net profit of Rs 186.5 crore. The total income rose to Rs 2,195.60 crore for the nine-month period (Rs 1,790.5 crore).
