Tanla net, revenue up

Hyderabad, April 30

Tanla Solutions reported total revenues of Rs 147.21 crore with net profit of Rs 49.99 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as against total revenues of Rs 85.33 crore and net profit of Rs 32.62 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. This reflects a growth of 72.51 per cent in revenue and 46.87 per cent in profit.

For the year ended Mach 31, the company consolidated revenue was Rs 477.17 crore with net profit of Rs 92.79 crore, reflecting a growth of about 108.18 per cent in revenue. The Chairman and Managing Director of Tanla, Mr Uday Reddy, in a statement said "the year signifies expansions from geographical and managerial standpoint. The company identified new streams of services such as mobile payments."

The company also inducted some senior members into the company in the areas of interactive TV, and Dr. NJ Rajaram as President, Corporate Planning and Dr. Kaluri V Ranga Rao, as Chief Scientist. - Our Bureau
