Bharati Shipyard Q4 net up 6%

Bharati Shipyard, on account of increased capacities in Goa and Ratnagiri and timely delivery of orders, has garnered a net profit growth of six per cent at Rs 32.6 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 against Rs 30.7 crore in the same period last year.

Total income of the company has risen by 30 per cent to Rs 206.8 crore (Rs 158.8 crore).

The total order book position of Bharati was up by 57 per cent at Rs 4,635.35 crore as on March 31, 2008 against Rs 2,946.65 crore in the same period of last year. For the financial year ended on March 31, 2008, the net profit of the company has gone up by 47 per cent to Rs 107 crore (Rs 73 crore). Total income has risen by 65 per cent to Rs 703.1 crore (Rs 424.8 crore).
