Chilli futures hit lower circuit

Mumbai, May 2 Chilli futures on NCDEX hit the lower circuit of 4 per cent at Rs 4,728 per quinal as sentiment in the Guntur spot markets were weak. Chana fell 1.27 per cent to Rs 2,537 per quintal. Guar seed and gum fell dropped 0.98 per cent and 0.89 per cent at Rs 1,815 per quintal and Rs 4,407 per quintal. Soya oil futures shed 0.4 per cent at Rs 567 per 20 kg.

Barley gains

Barley prices topped the gainers list by registering gain of 1.81 per cent at Rs 1,123 per quintal as stockiest stocked up to meet the rising demand from manufacturers. Jeera was up 1.06 per cent at Rs 10,299 per quintal on strong export demand. Gur was down 0.98 per cent at Rs 620 per quintal on improved demand in spot markets.
