HAL concludes pact with Airbus

New Delhi, May 5

The state-owned Hindustan Aeronautic Ltd (HAL) concluded a $150-million agreement with the European aircraft manufacturer, Airbus Industries for supply of 2,000 shipsets of forward passenger doors, the Minister of State for Defence Production, Mr Rao Inderjit Singh, told the Lok Sabha on Monday. The agreement was reached in March this year. The Minister further said that there was no proposal to manufacture A-318, A-319, A-320 and A-321 aircraft in the country in collabora tion with Airbus Industries.
