Hero Honda on Monday said that work had resumed at its Dharuhera plant.

The workers had resorted to a strike on Saturday.

“Normalcy has been restored at our Dharuhera plant following a mutually amicable resolution of certain concerns raised by some contract labourers due to instigation by external elements,” the company said in a statement.

On Saturday, workers resorted to strike following a decision by the management to shift its contract labourers from one section to another arousing fears that they may be laid off.

However, Hero Honda said that the move to shift contract labourers from one unit to the other was a part of their flexible operations strategy and the workers had been assured that it would not have any repercussions on their wages or employment.
