Tricom acquires Godrej Global

Mumbai, May 5

City based technology company Tricom India has acquired BPO firm Godrej Global Solutions Ltd(GGSL), a subsidiary of Godrej Industries Ltd, for Rs 19.63 crore. The acquisition will be funded partly by cash and the remaining through optionally fully convertible debentures, Tricom said in a statement. Established in 2002, GGSL specialises in the three main domains of healthcare, data capture and data conversion. It employs about 650 people and had achieved revenues of Rs 16. 50 crore in the previous fiscal. Besides, the Tricom board has also approved the sub-division of Tricom’s equity shares with the face value of Rs 10 each to the face value of Rs 2 each. —
