BHEL's Fire Service Day celebrations
Tiruchi, May 6
There was zero loss during the last financial year due
to fire hazards in the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd
(BHEL), said its Executive Director, Mr R. N. Misra,
while speaking at the Fire Service Day celebrations at the
concern here recently. All managers should take a lesson
from the firemen for their drill, preparation and alertness,
he said. Offering felicitations, the Assistant Chief Security
Officer, BHEL, Captain S. Palanivelu said that BHEL
suffered zero loss since 1991 and during last year more
than 2,000 employees, apprentices and employees wards
were imparted training on fire safety through various
programmes. The General Manager, Mr V.
Ananthakrishnan, in his presidential address said that
people should concentrate not only on fire safety, but also
on general safety, environmental protection and road
safety. Maintaining self-discipline while proceeding on
the vehicles like avoiding use of mobile phones will
