Consumerism States - Gujarat Funds for Gujarati edition of CERC bi-monthly Our Bureau Ahmedabad, May 6 The Gujarat Government has, as part of its steps towards consumer protection and consumer rights, sanctioned funds to the Ahmedabad-based Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC) to translate and publish its English bi-monthly into Gujarati. The State Department of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs has sanctioned funds for the Gujarati edition of the magazine, ‘INSIGHT - The Consumer Magazine’ and distribute it free of cost to consumers. CERC, established in 1978, has already published and distributed the translated versions of the magazine for the last three bi-monthly issues. The magazine is a tool for dissemination of information and reports of various comparative products testing carried on in its laboratory. The products tested are those used by consumers regularly like food, pharmaceutical, household electrical material, etc. They are tested, analysed, evaluated, rated and ranked in the published report. The magazine publishes the products, with brand names, informing consumers about their quality. More Stories on : Consumerism | Linguistics | Gujarat
