Injunction in favour of Britannia

Bangalore, May 7

The Karnataka High Court has confirmed an injunction in favour of Britannia restraining Unibic from issuing any further advertisements, "which in any manner disparages the Good Day brand," according to a statement from Britannia. Earlier, in December 2007, the Civil Court in Bangalore had issued an injunction in favour of Britannia which was challenged by Unibic in the Karnataka High Court. The statement said that Unibic Biscuits India Pvt Ltd had issued advertisements disparaging and discrediting the brand Good Day of Britannia. - Our Bureau
