Diesel cost

Diesel costs more than petrol in many regions, including Australia. That seems to be a more desirable situation for many reasons, but especially because the burning of diesel fuel pollutes the environment to a much higher degree than petrol burning does.

Environmental costs must also be taken into account when it comes to fuels’ price fixing and pricing the umpteen varieties of the product. After all, we the human species and millions of other species cannot exist forever if we continue to pollute the environment at the present rate.
