Uttam Galva Steel cuts prices

Mumbai, May 9

The Mumbai-based Uttam Galva Steels said it has reduced the prices of galvanised steel products by Rs 4,000 a tonne with immediate effect. The new Maharashtra base price for galvanised steel coil, inclusive of all levies, will now be Rs 56,000 a tonne.

The price cut in galvanised steel is due to the drop in prices of HR coil by the integrated steel producers for the domestic market. Uttam Galva is a manufacturer-exporter of valueadded steel products. In the domestic market, the company is a major supplier to the automobile, white goods, general engineering and construction industries. - Our Bureau
