ITC in UN Global Compact

Kolkata, May 8

ITC Ltd has been inducted into the United Nations Global Compact, the largest global corporate citizenship initiative. ITC's 4th Sustainability Report, which was submitted to the UN body as a Communication on Progress (CoP), has been approved in terms of the company's implementation of the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact, says a press release. The UN Global Compact was set up in 2000 as an initiative to promote sustainable development and good corporate citizenship. The 10 principles that participants in the Compact are required to enact cover a set of core values in areas such as environment, labour, anti-corruption and human rights. - Our Bureau
