Call rates unchanged

Mumbai, May 9

The inter bank call rates closed at 5.75-6 per cent, unchanged from the previous close at 5.75-6 per cent. Call rates climbed up to 7.5-7.75 per cent during the day as banks were scrambling for cash on reporting Friday. In the three-day reverse repo auction under the liquidity adjustment facility, the RBI received and accepted 30 bids for Rs 23,050 crore. There were no repo bids. In the CBLO market, there were 524 trades amounting Rs 40,484.35 in the rate range of 2.5 -7.4 9 per cent.
